Sleep problems are rarely just about sleep. They tangle up with anxiety, depression, chronic stress, and trauma, and they tend to outlast whatever set them off. These posts cover what actually keeps sleep problems going and what treats them: chronic insomnia and CBT-I, sleep procrastination, and the sleep issues that turn out to be medical rather than psychological. Sleep hygiene has its place, but it was never a treatment on its own.
